About Rosie
I have worked in animal care for almost a decade with dogs; cats; rodents; birds and reptiles. Having rescued and rehabilitated many beautiful pets who have now found their forever homes, I decided to start using Gudog to meet more lovely pets and help their owners ensure they have a long, fulfilling life.
I am happy to offer overnight stays at your home, drop ins, walks and holiday care even if they have health or behavioural conditions that need managing. I accept one client at a time, so you can be sure your pet is getting all of my attention. Please be aware that I do not accept bookings from multi-dog households if they are untrained, unless they are puppies. I am only willing to accommodate one at a time in these circumstances.
I have a certificate in First Aid for cats and dogs by The Pet Academy and Veterinary Medicine by Training Express, so I am well equipped to provide the highest standard of care for your furry friend. I am also extremely active so have lots of energy to put into meeting your pets exercise, enrichment and overall care needs.
I am comfortable sitting all pets - big and small. I have worked with so many different species that very little phases me. If the dog is to be cared for at my home, it will need to be a breed with hair (not fur) as I live with someone with mild allergies. I am available all week when I am pet sitting, although my availability for dog walking from Monday to Wednesday is more limited due to existing clients already booking those days. I will always make sure you are my only client for the period you have booked to ensure that your dog has my full attention.
Having worked as an independent animal rescuer and rehabilitation and a pet sitter/boarder for 8 years, I have hands on experience with pets who have a variety of different behavioural and medical needs, including those that are reactive or require adapted care.
I am highly flexible and am always happy to alter the way I care for your pet to ensure that they’re happy as can be. All I ask is for some information on their behaviour and needs, to make sure I’m providing the highest level of care to them that’s possible.
I live in a 3 bedroom flat with an approximately 30x50ft communal (dog safe) garden. I also have access to numerous dog friendly parks nearby, including Hampstead Heath; Regents Park and Highbury Fields. Pets are allowed on the furniture and everything has been pet proofed to ensure no accidents will occur. There are no other pets at the property, but I live in a neighbourhood with cats, dogs and children which may make it unsuitable for some to stay with me.
